County Superior Court states that Orange County GIS database is exempt from the Public Records Act of California, Santa Ana, CA – May 21 2010 – A Superior Court judge in Orange County ruled today that the map data updated by the Orange County Law is exempt from the California Public Records (PRA). The PRA states that government agencies and local authorities must provide copies of their public office for members of the public who request and should not charge more than the direct cost of copying.
