Why are the Republicans voting against background checks of their criminal record for arms purchases?
ontheissues.org shows all the republics Congress to vote "NO" on background checks at gun shows. In addition to Brady voted against the draft law requiring background checks. They argue, "we should not put weapons in the hands of criminals." So why not vote against background checks? ***** Please do not respond by saying: "The criminals have guns anyway, even if they are illegal." That may be true, but this is not a reason to make it easier and more convenient for criminals to purchase guns legally.
Because they believe the weapons to protect themselves and stop the bad guys (the who believe in fornication, gay marriage, fun, etc)
