Texas marriage or cohabitation and informal … Divorce?
My ex and I lived together for 13 years as husband and wife, is presented as married and lived as if we were never married, had children if she deceived me several times and now lives with someone else. I just want to go ahead, finish and start a new life with a woman who is faithful. My question is, we have never signed any contract or commitment with the State of Texas. Is divorce even necessary? We've had an account joint bank together, but I do not know who is eligible. I have some experience in drafting legal documents, I can do something he says he agreed to dissolve our marriage and have notarized and filed in the public record? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
