National Criminal Record

No restaurants usually do a national criminal background check or just the state?
The reason I ask this because I am applying a job and want to know if I have a record. I have a simple assault charge from three years. I was honest about my history and no one hired me and I am not a person lies, but I need the wrong job! So I have my PA yet you think if I get my ID id-GA bother to look back on my PA? Thanks
Each employer has its own policies. Some can even do a criminal background check. A simple assault is not likely to deny you a job, unless the restaurant is in a halfway house for battered women.
