Ticket for running a stop sign on private property in California?
I have a ticket for running a stop sign on private property (right before the stop sign is clearly marked as private property). Is it legal? The Conference of the Parties regularly sits there waiting for people to run, and I can not imagine it would be to give tickets are not legal, but is not it? If I have challenged in court, stand it? In addition, if you lose and still contested I have the chance to take traffic school or should I just pay the fine and point to go for me?
If While the vehicle code generally applicable only in the streets and highways, the municipalities can be part of code private roads and private property (such as parking land and roads around the shopping centers). I think it's a good bet that even if the agent has been given tickets, he knew he had the power to do so. You can go to traffic school after having been convicted, if at the discretion of the hearing officer that may arise. If you do, the ticket will be dismissed and no points on your record (the answer by saying that you wrong.) However, since you have no defense, it is probably easier to make arrangements to pay the fine and attend traffic school by mail or online.
